Julien Brouillette, Peter Budaj Return to Giant Center

Sunday night was a homecoming for two former Hershey Bears. Defenseman Julien Brouillette and goaltender Peter Budaj, both now with the St. John’s IceCaps. Brouillette made played three seasons in Hershey, making his NHL debut with the Washington Capitals just last season.

Budaj, who began his pro career in Chocolate Town, USA, was one of Hershey’s best goaltenders during their final seasons with the Colorado Avalanche. In 2004-05, the Slovakia native played in 59 games, posting a 29-25-2 record with five shutouts. He has spent the last nine seasons in the NHL, most recently with Montreal, but was traded before the season to Winnipeg and assigned to the IceCaps.

St. John’s returns to Giant Center Sunday, November 30th, were Budaj looks to start a game back in Hershey for the first time since April 2005.
