Dmitry Orlov finished his three game rehab stint with the Hershey Bears on Wednesday night. These were his first professional hockey games played in since May 2014 at the IIHF World Championships. Orlov broke his wrist after a collision into the boards during the series.

In all three games, Orlov displayed a noticeable presence on the Bears’ power play unit. He finished his stint with three assists, six shots, including three Wednesday night. After the game against Worcester, Orlov hesitated to comment on whether or not he’s NHL ready. “I hope everything will be good. We will see how it goes. I hope I will play for the Caps this season.”

The 23-year-old Russian said he plans on flying to Ottawa Thursday to join Washington in Canada.
