A Look Back at Some of Chris Bourque’s 500 Points as a Bear (GIFs)

Chris Bourque has now become the seventh player in Hershey Bears history to score 500 points as a Hershey Bear, joining Mike Nykoluk, Tim Tookey, Arnie Kullman, Gil Gilbert, Willie Marshall, and Dunc Fisher as the only players to accomplish the feat. In honor of this major accomplishment, we take a look back at some of Bourque’s earliest points as a Bear in GIF form.

Bourque would get his first point as a Bear on an assist to JF Fortin in a game against Wilkes-Barre on October 9, 2005.

His first goal would come on a feed from Lawrence Nycholat in a game against Binghamton. He would also get his second goal that same game with assists coming from Joey Tenute and Frederic Cassivi.

In 2008, Bourque had one of the most spectacular performances of his career, scoring four goals against Hamilton on March 29.

2008-09 was one of Bourque’s more impressive campaigns, tallying a career high in assists and points at the time with 52 assists and 73 points.

In one of the most amazing returns in Hershey Bears history, Bourque scored two goals and had an assist on December 5, 2009 against Norfolk. The first goal sending teddy bears flying for teddy bear toss night.

And the second goal. Classic Bourque.

More recently, Bourque scored his 400th point as a Bear last season with an assist on a goal scored by Paul Carey on Halloween 2015, becoming the 12th player in Bears history to accomplish such a feat.

Bourque is now 61 points behind Fisher, who leads the Bears in all-time goals with 260 and is sixth all-time in points for the Bears.
