Sometimes it’s nice to get away from the rink and have some fun at another stadium. That’s what the Hershey Bears did on Thursday afternoon as they joined the Harrisburg Senators on City Island to try their hand at some batting practice.

It all started with a Twitter poll. Bears captain Garrett Mitchell posted on his Twitter account a question for Bears fans: should Ryan Bourque dye his hair blond once again for the Calder Cup playoffs.
The votes were overwhelming and 83% of the 500 people who got to vote in the very short time the poll was live voted “Effin rights.”
“The other night the topic came up in a Twitter poll against my discretion,” said Ryan, “but sometimes you have to give the people what they want. The poll spoke for itself.”
Back in February, I was tweeted a really cool video of some of our videos edited in a quick little video. After talking to the creator, @tmhjesslyn, she made a longer video with a ton of awesome clips. Now, she brings back some shorter edits, but with a few of your favorite players. First up: Riley Barber, Christian Thomas, Jakub Vrana, Nathan Walker, Aaron Ness, and Pheonix Copley

The Hershey Bears defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack for the second time in as many nights behind four goals from Paul Carey. Hershey gets two more points to stay in fourth with rivals Bridgeport and Providence winning on this evening.
The Bears came out flying and were rewarded for their hard work as Carey picked up the puck and snapped a perfect shot over the glove of Mackenzie Skapski to make it 1-0 for the home team.
